NAMPA — Two lawsuits have come to light, alleging that the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Kieran Donahue unlawfully held and detained former inmates because of their immigration status and despite a judge’s release order.
The lawsuits are challenging the use of immigration detainers as a substitute for a warrant.
